Flat Rate Per Order Shipping: Shipping on all orders is a flat rate. For example: $5.99 for any order regardless of the size of order.
 
Per Item Flat Rate: Shipping is $X per item. Every item in the store has the same flat rate. An optional handling fee can be added as well.  For example: Shipping is $3.00 per item with a handling fee of $5.00 per order. An order of 2 items in this case would be $3.00 + $3.00 + $5.00 = $11.00

By Price: Flat Rate then Free for Orders Over a Specified Subtotal - Shipping on order is a flat rate regardless of the size of order, but Free if the subtotal is a specified amount or higher. For example: Shipping is $5.99, but FREE if order totals $75.00 or more.
 
By Percent: Shipping is charged as a percentage of the order subtotal. For example: Shipping is 5% of the order subtotal. For an order with a subtotal of $100.00, the shipping would be $5.00

Functionality:
1. Shipping Zones (Optional): Any number of shipping zones can optionally be setup, based on countries and states/provinces. These are selected from a drop down list (rather than entering a list of comma separated ISO codes).
 
2. Shipping Methods: Any number of different shipping methods can be used. Various shipping methods are setup by default: Regular, Express, Cash On Delivery, Pick Up, Air Mail, etc...
 
3. Shipping Rates: Shipping rate can be calculated in four different ways (or any combination of these). You can enable or disable each one; any that are disabled will be hidden from view.

4. Ranges (Optional): You can configure different shipping rates depending on the weight or subtotal of the basket. They can be enabled or disabled; when disabled they will be hidden from view.
 
Advanced Functionality: Warning Log (Optional): If you have complicated shipping zones or weight/subtotal ranges, you can enable the warning log. If a customer tries to place an order but doesn't qualify for any shipping options, details will be logged. You can then use this information to correct any problems in your zones, rates or ranges, or to contact the customer, etc.

Step 1 -  Within a "wizard-like" options creator, you will be asked to make a master list of options you might want to make available and categorize them.

Sell wholesale or offer discounts to particular groups of people. The administrator creates the groups and assigns customers to each group. Each product will then have a different price displayed for users in different groups when they log in. If a customer is not assigned to any group, they are considered to be "Retail" customers and will see the regular price.
